It also remains the most popular and trusted platform for news, sports and entertainment. In fact, many youngsters consider it as a great companion, and there are powerful social and psychological factors that drive the viewing experience.

·       Knowledge Based Television programs such as science documentaries, programs on wild-life and environment can widen the horizon of understanding about the world. Television is a fantastic medium to get knowledge of different cultures and serves as a key to our global understanding of international issues.

Downside

·     Many shows are filled with stereotypes, violent solutions to problems, immoral/mean behavior. The violence and filthy language can bring more aggression in the behaviour of children who spend a long time watching such programs.
